Dear Families,
Welcome to our school community website! Fremont Christian School is a PK-12 school that was “founded in 1968 by First Assembly of God of Fremont, now known as Harbor Light Church. The pastor and the church envisioned offering a Christian education at all grade levels to any family in the community who would support FCS’s purpose, policies and procedures.”
“Our purpose is to partner with the family to build tomorrow today by providing a learning environment. Our mission at FCS is to educate the whole child: body, mind, and spirit and to instill in each student a sense of community by following Christ’s example in Luke 2:52.”
Our elementary teaching staff is comprised of highly qualified educators who are dedicated to Christian education, value academic excellence, and are focused on student achievement. We are committed to curriculum and instruction that is research supported and standards-based.
As the elementary principal I am dedicated to making our elementary a safe, nurturing learning environment where students can thrive. FCS is a learning community where everyone has the right to learn, feel safe, be valued, and succeed among a diverse and multicultural community.
My philosophy in teaching discipline to children is this: to lead students by being an example to them in loving the Lord their God with all their heart, soul, mind and strength and to love their neighbors. When students make wrong choices we endeavor to help students discover their need to accept responsibility for their actions by:
· Pointing them to Christ
· Encouraging them to love the truth
· Helping them find the root of the problem
· Providing accountability and follow through with consequences
· Partnering closely with families by maintaining good communication and providing resources
· Following up with students and building positive relationships through character development
· Showing mercy, forgiveness and always work toward restoration.
