Participation on athletic teams is a privilege extended to meet the interests of students. We believe that the formation of both a Christ-like character and an attitude that glorifies God is essential for our athletes during both practice and competition. The testimony of each coach and each athlete speaks to the success or failure of the team. At Fremont Christian School, growing in Christ is of foremost importance.
Fremont Christian coaches are, for the most part, teachers who volunteer a great deal of time to their teams. Off campus coaches must apply to coach to be considered for a team. They are all required to be certified by CIF, in CPR, first aid and are fingerprinted before they begin to coach.
At the junior high level, our teams participate in the Bay Area Christian School Athletic League. Our school participates in the Central Division with Christian Community, Liberty Christian, Milpitas Christian, Redwood Christian, San Ramon Valley Christian and Valley Christian-Dublin. There are two other divisions and a total of 19 teams in the BACSAL.
The high school teams participate in the Bay Area Conference. There are four divisions of the BCL League of which FCS is part of. We are a part of the California Interscholastic Federation (CIF) and are members of the North Coast Section (NCS) as a Division V school. This qualifies our school to participate in state playoffs.
To participate in sports students must maintain a GPA of 2.0 and no F's for each academic progress update (APU) they are participating in sports. Several forms (which are located on this website under Athletic Forms) must be filled out before they can play. There is also an athletic fee for each sport.
