Elementary Athletics

When students participate in athletics, they have an opportunity to embrace all four of Fremont Christian's ESLRs:

A Sound Mind - Athletics challenge students to immediately apply various problem-solving strategies within the context of practice sessions and game scenarios.

A Sound Body - Athletics allow students to properly maintain the body as the temple of the Holy Spirit by promoting strength, endurance, agility, hygiene, and a healthy metabolism.

A Sound Spirit - Athletics create opportunity for students to use their God-given gifts to honor Him. Athletes learn discipline, a favorable trait with spiritual connections, and the qualities of honesty, responsibility, obedience, patience, perseverance, and faith.

A Sense of Community - Athletics give students a powerful sense of belonging and interdependency among their teammates. Students are actively involved in the creation of community and discover that the entities in which they belong can become more effective when they take personal responsibility to contribute, lead, influence, and offer assistance when others are in need.

For years, the elementary campus has participated in league basketball with local schools. In the spring of 2011, the campus plans to add an intramural basketball league for students in grades 3-6.
