FALL NEWS

From Athletic Director, Drew Edgerly:

Our junior high girls softball team brought home more hardware this year by earning 5th place after beating Contra Costa Christian and Prince of Peace on Saturday 10/27.

Congratulations to our girls for a good season and great finish!

Congratulations to our High School Girls Volleyball team for their #1 ranking in the Division 6 North Coast Section Volleyball Championships.  

We have a first round bye, as the first round is played on Wednesday 10/24. We will be playing in the NCS quarterfinals on Saturday 10/27 at 2:00 PM against the winner of Calistoga and Potter Valley.  

Stay tuned: Further details on opponent will be shared later.

From Athletic Director, Drew Edgerly:

Our High School Boys Soccer team will be playing on Wednesday 10/24 at 4 PM versus Oakland Military Institute on Coast Guard Island.

This is the league semi-final game and the winner advances to play on Friday 10/26 for the league championship.

Parents: Mr. Edgerly will be sending out the base pass required to access Coast Guard Island on Wednesday.

Stay tuned: Next week, our boys will most likely qualify to play in the North Coast Section tournament. We will be sending in an NCS application, and the North Coast Section will do the seeding for this tournament on Sunday 10/28.

Congratulations to our student-athletes! We are proud of the efforts you have each made in the Fall season so far - let's finish strong.

Congratulations to our high school girls varsity volleyball team for their semi-finals win over Holy Names in 4 sets! Our girls are playing really good team volleyball and all members are stepping up.

They will now be moving on to play in the League Championship with California School for the Deaf (CSD) on Thursday 10/18 at 7 PM here at FCS. We had great fan support last night, and the girls would love to have you there to support them again.

As before, we will be charging admission. We’ll also have our concessions open. Overall, it should be a fun night with a competitive game. Hope to see you out there!

  • Kids 5 and Under: Free

Three of our high school teams begin playoff competition this week.
  • Today, our girls tennis team plays at Bentley at 3:30 PM.
  • Today, our boys soccer team plays at Oakland Military Institute at 4:00 PM.
  • On Thursday, our volleyball team plays here in Fremont at California School for the Deaf - Fremont at 5:00 PM.

If you can, please come support our teams as they compete at their highest level against great competition.

WINTER NEWS

Congratulations to McKenna N. (09) and Bubba G. (12) for making the 2019 Bay Area Conference All Tournament Teams for Varsity Boys and Girls Basketball.

Coaches voted for the athletes who showed superior play when selecting candidates for All Tournament.

Way to represent for the FCS Warriors!

The Junior High Boys Basketball team stayed undefeated and improved their record to 7 and 0 as they beat Prince of Peace and Redwood Christian this week.

The boys clinched their first Bay Area Christian School Athletic League (BASCAL) Championship since 1999. Congratulations to all the boys who worked very hard to reach this goal!

The FCS Junior High Boys Basketball swept another week!

Two more wins vs Redwood Christian and Valley Christian. The boys extended their record to 4 and 0.

Great shooting from Edison and Nicholas led the way, as well as shutdown defense from Keagan, Ethan, and Samuel. Our next game will be Wednesday at home vs. Coastline Christian.

The Junior High Boys Basketball team went 2 and 0 this week with wins vs Coastline Christian and San Ramon Academy.

I'm very proud of the boys and all the hard work they have put in so far. Leading the way for the boys was Evan with 53 points in the 2 games. Followed by Alijah with 25 points and Julian with 22. Great defense from Samuel, Gabe, Keagan, and Jonathan, with a fantastic passing display from Ethan.

The boys have two games next week as well. Way to go Warriors!

Congratulations to two of our seniors, Breanna T. & Ramon B.!

The League Playoffs were held last night, and both Bre-T and Ramon earned All Tournament Team trophies.

Coaches voted for the athletes who showed superior play when selecting candidates for All Tournament.

We are proud of our seniors and seeing their hard work pay off!

From Athletic Director, Drew Edgerly:

Our high school baseball team is starting the North Coast Section playoffs and FCS will be hosting a home game tomorrow (Tuesday, 5/22) at 5:00 PM. We will be hosting Sonoma Academy. 

Since this is a North Coast Section playoff game, there will be an admission fee charged to all fans coming in: 
  • $10 general admission
  • $6 children (children under 4 are free)
  • $6 senior citizens
  • $6 high school students with ID

Please come out to support our team tomorrow. We look forward to seeing you out there!

FCS Baseball beats Redwood Christian in extra innings!

Fremont Christian School's Boys Varsity Baseball team beat the 2017 Section Title Champions Redwood Crhistian 2 to 1.

Branden H. drove in the winning run on a walk off hit in the eighth inning. Bubba G. pitched six inning and two-thirds innings, striking out eleven. John S. scored two run s and Tyler W. had two hits.

Way to go, Warriors!

It was a great day for FCS Baseball on Wednesday, March 14! They beat Irvington High School 11 to 4.

Ramon B. got the win on the mound, but also stole the show at the plate! He was three for five with a Grand Slam over the fence. John S. had two hits including a double, as did catcher Branden H.

Nick L. continued his hot hitting with two more hits, and Carlo C. had a big hit in the fifth inning. Bubba G. finished the game on the mound pitching two and two-thirds, giving up no earned runs and striking out seven.

Congrats to one of our seniors, Kaitlyn W., on earning Player of the Week (POTW) from MaxPreps!

From Athletic Director, Mr. Edgerly: 

"Kaitlyn W. was nominated for this award by the National Soccer Coaches Association of America for her exceptional performances against Emery and Athenian. She combined for four goals and two assists in these contests. Overall, Kaitlyn has scored eight goals this season and assisted on five others."

MaxPreps and the United Soccer Coaches announced the 6 boys and 6 girls who have been named the winter MaxPreps/United Soccer Coaches High School State Players of the Week for their on-field efforts from February 12-18, 2018.

The United Soccer Coaches uses results and statistics provided by MaxPreps to select one boy and one girl honoree from each participating state competing during the spring high school season.

Winners receive a MaxPreps/United Soccer Coaches branded letterman's patch and recognition on both MaxPreps and UnitedSoccerCoaches.

Coaches or team administrators must enter the athlete's game stats on MaxPreps by Sunday evening of each week to be considered. High school coaches can obtain an access code for their teams by visiting: www.maxpreps.com/cl.

Fremont Christian Varsity Baseball team won their Semi-Final game over Making Waves, from Richmond 16 to 3.

Chris R. got the win on the mound striking out four. Tyler W. had two hits and struck out the side in his only inning on the mound. Ilija L. was solid on the mound and also had a hit. Branden H. had two hits, and Jake N. had a hit.

Fremont Christian improved to 20 and 3 on the season, and will play Friday at 3:30 PM for the BCL Championship.
