Congratulations to our Keren G. (10), who placed second in the Young Writer Essay Contest, sponsored by Fremont Area Writers Club. 

Essay topics were on "My Life in the East Bay." Each author was judged for content, creativity and individuality, organization, and grammar and punctuation. Winners were featured in the March 15 Tri-City Voice, with comments from the contest coordinator, Liz Breshears: "The judges praised the creativity and diversity of content shown by this year's entrants."
