Congratulations to Dillon O., Eric D., and Amanda M. on being selected by the American Legion as delegates for the 2016 Boys' and Girls' State!
The Boys' and Girls' State delegates are interviewed and chosen by the American Legion on the basis of essays, resumes, GPA, moral character, leadership ability, academic scholarship, interest in current events and politics and recommendations of school administrators. Boys' and Girls' State delegates represent the top 1% of California juniors.
Dillon, Eric, and Amanda will represent Alameda County and travel this summer to join the other delegates from California to experience the practical operation of state and local government.
