Fremont Christian School was opened by First Assembly of God in fall 1968, with Reverend C.K. Rankin as the first principal.

Senior Pastor Leroy Cloud led the congregation in its desire to establish a K-12 program in the city of Fremont. As a department of First Assembly of God (now known as Harbor Light Church), Fremont Christian School was conceived to not only provide a service to Christian parents but also to be an evangelistic outreach to the community for any family open to spiritual growth, character formation, and academic attainment.

Over the years, FCS has continued to grow, in both community and academic quality. We partner with families of children as young as 18 months to high school students, providing many opportunities at each stage for each child. Our community and family partnerships reach around the world with our international program. FCS’s exemplary academic program, integrated with a biblical worldview, provides a rich learning environment for our students.

In fall 2018, we celebrated our 50th anniversary, with Pastor Terry Inman as Senior Pastor at Harbor Light Church and Dr. Tricia Meyer as our Head of School.
