Fremont Christian School (FCS) junior high Lady Warrors win the 2017 Bay Area Christian Schools Championship!

For the second year in a row, FCS has won the BACSAL Championships. They had a thrilling come-from-behind win in the Semi-Finals versus the previously undefeated Tabernacle team.

In the Semi-Finals, McKenna N. had four hits and scored three runs. Keely C. had three hits and also scored three runs. The big hit of the game was in the last inning by slugger Veronique V. who had a clutch hit with the bases loaded to tie the game. FCS would take the lead on Leia G.'s RBI, and win the game 10-9. Michelle C. scored two runs, and Gayoung L. had stellar defense.

In the Championship game, it was a defensive showcase. McKenna N. only allowed three hits the entire game, and also led off with a home run! The big hit came from Taliyah H. who had a base hit and came all the way around to score on an errant throw. The middle infield was great defensively in this game. Kayla C., our shortstop, had four good plays, while Leia G. threw out a runner at home to end the third inning, and also threw out a runner for the last play of the game. Sixth graders Audrey A. and Bethany G. were key contributors to both games. These Lady Warriors won 3-1 against San Ramon Valley.

"To win back-to-back BACSAL Championships here at Fremont Christian School is an amazing accomplishment, and I could not be any prouder of our girls. They put in all the work throughout the season, and deserve it," said Coach Gomez.

Congrats to the Fremont Christian Lady Warriors on an amazing Championship run!
